In Aarohi (an open learning community) we have conducted online workshops for people outside the community. It was for all ages.

Process:
-
Decided on the topic ( Graphic T-shirt design)
-
Recollected the memories when I attended an online workshop and noted the things which I liked and disliked about them
-
Made notes related to the theme (FUN - as it can be understood easily by everyone), ice breaker, the flow of the workshop, interactions with participants, conclusion
-
Made presentation keeping in mind readability, colour combination, highlighting certain things
-
Designed a T-shirt documenting each step of the process to show the participants as a sample
-
Did a demo for the people in the Aarohi community and got feedback from them
-
Made a few changes based on the feedback
-
Conducted the workshop successfully with 18 participants and got paid
(recording is not attached as it only for the people who attended the workshop)
Tools & Techniques used:

Designed the flow with a beginners mindset

Learnings:
-
Maintaining clarity, and simplicity in visuals and communication is important
-
My facial expression, and tone of voice has a major role to play in making participants feel comfortable
-
Gained confidence that I can interact well with complete strangers

Future improvements:
-
Give prompts in between to make participants think even further
